The Neenan Co., in partnership with client Physicians Development Group, has broken ground on Flatirons Health and Rehabilitation in Louisville. The project represents the first skilled rehabilitation facility to be built in Louisville and the first project in Colorado for Physicians Development Group. The Neenan Co., the design-build partner for the project, is building the 44,000-square-foot, two-story skilled inpatient rehabilitation facility. The project will provide short-term skilled nursing and physical, occupational and speech therapy services designed to rehabilitate and transition patients back to their homes safely. The vision of Physicians Development Group is to provide high-quality living and homelike rehabilitation environments. Upon completion, the project will include 48 private patient rooms, lounges, two dining rooms, in-house therapy, a chapel and an administration area. “We are thrilled that Louisville is able to bring the much-needed medical facility to its residents and surrounding communities,” said Shelley Angell, executive director of the Louisville Chamber of Commerce. “This type of facility is in high demand across the state, and we’re proud to have the opportunity to offer convenient access to our community, which will also attract patients from outside the local area.” Site grading for the facility started at the end of May, with an anticipated completion in spring 2016. Flatirons Health and Rehabilitation will be located at 1107 Century Drive.
