Unico Properties LLC, a Seattle-based real estate investment and operating company, named Hunter Marr the general manager of the Denver office property management operation. Unico’s Denver office portfolio consists of more than 2 million square feet of Class A office properties, and Marr will be responsible for property management for owned and third-party management assets, day-to-day operations and capital planning for the portfolio. He is the president of the Denver Metro Building Owners and Managers Association. Previously, Marr served as general manager of CBRE Asset Services in Denver where he provided day-to-day property management services for a 1.25 million-sf, Class A portfolio owned by Principal Global Investors. Before that he was responsible for an ING Clarion portfolio. Prior to joining CBRE, Marr served as chief financial officer and vice president of Maram Holdings LLC, an asset management company in Los Angeles that he helped launch. Marr has more than 14 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with expertise in office, industrial, retail and hotel properties. With additional expertise in sustainability, Marr took eight buildings through the LEED certification process, earning LEED Gold for seven buildings and LEED Platinum for one building. In this role as Denver BOMA president, he is responsible for implementing Denver Metro BOMA’s strategic long-range plan, serving as the association’s spokesman and the operations of the association. He served on the board of directors for BOMA for three years and as an officer for BOMA for the past two years. Prior to that, he was Denver Metro BOMA’s membership chair and sat on several committees.
