Westcore wins regional BOMA award
Westcore Properties’ URS Center, a 185,256-square-foot Class A office building in Denver, was awarded a regional Outstanding Building of the Year award in the category of 100,000 to 249,999 SF by the Building Owners and Managers Association.
Last fall, BOMA of Metro Denver presented a TOBY award for the building.
URS Center was selected in a nine-state competition and will advance to the international level with the results announced at the international conference next month.
“This is very exciting for us since it recognizes the innovative practices implemented at the building by Westcore Properties to create a high-quality, sustainable and well-managed workplace,” said Carrie Parker, vice president of regional property management for Westcore Properties. “We are committed to providing highly productive and responsible work environments for our tenants, and are pleased that after receiving LEED Silver recognition in 2010 the building continues to build upon its reputation with this prestigious TOBY award.” Located at 8181 E. Tufts Ave., URS Center is a six-story building featuring a two-story lobby with underground parking, locker and shower facilities, an on-site deli and fulltime day porter. The building is 98 percent leased to tenants including URS Corp., Century Business Services and Employee Mutual Casualty Co.
