According to the 2010 U.S. Census, Firestone was Colorado’s fastest-growing community throughout the last decade. There are 10 top reasons why Firestone has experienced and continues to experience a rapid growth rate in the commercial, industrial and residential sectors. - Location. Firestone is strategically located midway between the cities of Denver and Fort Collins along the east and west sides Interstate 25. This location has numerous benefits to the economic strength and desirability of Firestone to businesses, residential builders and the purchasers of new or existing homes. Regional retail businesses like the fact that the interchange at Interstate 25 and Colo. Highway 119 is one of the busiest interchanges in the northern Interstate 25 corridor. Neighborhood businesses located within Firestone, such as King Soopers- and Safeway-anchored shopping centers, like the fact that Firestone is a growing community and that is has an extended trade area. Employers like that fact that Firestone has access to a large labor force that is available locally and extends to Denver, Fort Collins, Longmont, Boulder and beyond. Another key locational benefit of Firestone is that it is only minutes away from E-470, the Northwest Parkway and the Denver International Airport. - Desirability. In addition to a having a great location, there are many factors that make Firestone a desirable community to operate a business or reside.
