A group affiliated with a Colorado energy company that has operations in Windsor acquired 75.67 acres there for $2.49 million. Diamond Valley Energy Park purchased the property at 10119 County Road 66, also known as Eastman Park Drive, from Sidney F. Stewart, Jan O. Stewart, Denis Martin and M. Diane Goulet. Highlands Ranch-based Tekton Energy LLC likely will drill for oil and gas on a small portion (10 acres or less) of the property. Company President and CEO Jerry Sommer said he is contemplating whether Tekton can use the site as a terminus for oil piped from locations around Windsor in order to cut down on truck traffic through town; however, there are a number of issues to be solved before he ascertains whether that is even possible. “It’s a benevolent thing. There’s no business case for doing this,” he commented. Dan Leuschen of Sperry Van Ness/The Group Commercial represented the sellers in the cash transaction. Ryan Bach of Re/ Max Eagle Rock represented the buyer.
