Michelle M. Maynard joined Otten Johnson Robinson Neff + Ragonetti PC as the firm’s director of administration. She has more than 20 years of experience in various administrative positions; both in law firms and as a consultant. Her educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. In 2003, Maynard earned the designation of Certified Legal Manager, a designation achieved through examination in 47 critical areas of effective law firm management. In 2005, she served as president of the Mile High Chapter Association of Legal Administrators. She has served on numerous committees with the Mile High ALA, Legal Marketers Association and Association for Corporate Growth. Karen Samuels Jones joined Stinson Leonard Street’s Denver office as a partner in the firm's Banking and Financial Services Division. Jones primarily represents clients located throughout the Rocky Mountain region, including state and national banks; private equity investors; life insurance companies; other private lenders; senior living facility owners and operators; and technology companies in the areas of real estate leasing and construction, resort and permanent lending. She has extensive experience with complex transactions secured by real estate. She also handles loan foreclosures, receiverships, loan sales and workouts. Jones is a frequent lecturer on secured lending and distressed real estate finance topics. Recently, Jones received the Joy S. Burns Woman of Enterprise Award from the Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. The award is given to a professional woman in the real estate or construction industry who demonstrates the highest achievement in the industry, outstanding leadership, ethical standards and character in her industry and community, as well as giving her time and resources to promote the talents and accomplishments of other women within the industry. Jones earned a law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1990. She earned an undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan in 1984. Jerry Kaiser was elected chairman of GHP Horwath PC’s executive committee. The executive committee is the governing body of GHP Horwath and is responsible for the establishment and monitoring of the strategic direction of the firm. Kaiser has worked at GHP Horwath since 1990 and before that was a principal at Laventhol & Horwath, a predecessor firm to GHP Horwath. He is a senior principal in the tax services department at GHP Horwath and has more than 30 years of experience in dealing with midlevel and entrepreneurial firms and large closely held businesses. Kaiser is a registered Personal Financial Specialist and Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado, and has worked extensively on business and tax issues with family owned businesses, estate planning, partnerships and S corporations in numerous industries. As chairman of the firm’s executive committee, he will provide support to the CEO and play an integral role in the overall implementation of the firm’s strategic goals. Mike Statter, SIOR, CCIM, joined Cresa Denver as senior vice president of industrial real estate. Statter has an extensive background in both real estate brokerage and business ownership. His experience with industrial assignments includes leasing, acquisition, disposition, build-to-suit, location advisory service and development. Ralph Matt Will joined Cassidy Turley as broker associate in the firm’s Fort Collins office. Will has 10 years of experience as a licensed real estate broker serving the Northern Colorado area. Previously, Will was with North American Real Estate Brokerage in Fort Collins, where he served as president and managing broker. Will graduated from Colorado State University in 2003. He serves as vice president of the Colorado Financial Services Centers Association in Denver and as a member of the Fort Collins Board of Realtors.s Abel Medrano joined Cresa Denver as a transaction management adviser. Previously, Medrano was responsible for gathering and evaluating economic, demographic and real estate market data for Jones Lang LaSalle. More recently, he represented tenants and worked closely with clients to identify needs and goals to successfully implement strategies and reduce occupancy costs. He has worked with companies in a variety of industries across the Denver region.
