Charles Schwab, Fentress Architects, Mortenson celebrate Lone Tree campus opening

Charles Schwab, Fentress Architects and Mortenson Construction celebrated the opening of the 650,000-square-foot Charles Schwab campus on a 47-acre site in Lone Tree.

The new campus, designed by Fentress and built by Mortenson, includes a two-story retail branch building, three five-story office buildings, two parking garages and a centrally located amenities building that features a 15,000-sf dining facility for employees at 9800 Schwab Way, at the southwest corner of Lincoln Avenue and Park Meadows Boulevard.

The entire campus was designed to achieve LEED Gold or better, including pursuing LEED Platinum certification for the retail building.

Sustainability features include a two-acre green roof, green materials, daylighting, watersaving devices and an “optimized” HVAC system.

“Our corporate real estate team really outdid themselves with this project,” said Brian McDonald, senior vice president of Schwab Investor Services and senior location leader for the company in Colorado.

“You couldn’t wish for a better located, more functional and beautiful place to be, and the RidgeGate development offers so many amenities. We are really looking forward to becoming a part of the Lone Tree community.” To date, approximately 70 percent of the campus has been completed, with two of the three buildings ready for occupancy. The third building is expected to be complete in summer 2015.
