Milender White recently announced new tenants for Summit County’s first chef-driven food hall, Bluebird Market. Located at Fourth Street Crossing, a 3.8-acre district developed by Milender White in Silverthorne, Bluebird Market is a nearly 30,000-square-foot food hall that will include established and emerging businesses, and provide a community-focused atmosphere with open seating, flexible event space, outdoor patio areas and interactive games for the community. Currently, Bluebird Market has nine signed leases, including three local small businesses opening second locations, three women owned businesses and three new-to-market concepts. Milender White is preserving the historic Old Dillon Inn, encapsulating the mining-era building inside Bluebird Market and reincarnating it as a restaurant and speakeasy. The market will consist of 10 to 12 chef-driven culinary concepts along with three local retail entrepreneurs and a flexible co-working space. Nomad Coffee House, “Don’t Call Me Charlie’s” Ice Cream and Colorado Marketplace & Bakery are debuting at Bluebird Market. Familiar concepts include Chimayo Grill opening Baja Chimayó, an outpost selling its best sellers from its Dillon location, and Crêpes à la Cart out of Breckenridge, which plans to bring its sweet and savory crepes to Silverthorne without the line. Also joining the development, OK Poke, The Mighty Colorado Burger and the to-be-named central bar will be operated by Mighty Hospitality Group out of Denver. “Bluebird Market embodies Silverthorne’s growth as a modern mountain town,” said Scott Vollmer, director of property operations at Milender White. “We listened to what the community is hungry for and built an iconic space for chefs and entrepreneurs. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, there’s something here for everyone.” The tenants will range, generally, from 250 to 1,000 square feet. With the leases, the space is currently 65% leased with two remaining anchor spaces available, the 3,114- sf Old Dillon Inn and a 1,322- sf seated restaurant space facing Blue River Parkway. “Bluebird Market ties together Fourth Street Crossing, creating a sense of place that people will drive to instead of drive by,” said Tim Fredregill, development executive at Milender White. “These tenants represent a new generation of small businesses that will drive economic recovery in the region post-COVID.” “The town of Silverthorne is excited about the variety of food and beverage tenants coming to Bluebird Market, and the ability to support established local businesses as well as entrepreneurs new to the mountain community,” commented Ryan Hyland, Silverthorne town manager. “The indoor-outdoor market hall concept will allow for residents and visitors to enjoy Bluebird Market as a destination for food and shopping in a vibrant, pedestrian friendly environment.” Bluebird Market is set to open in March, marking the first activation of the Fourth Street Crossing development. It will be surrounded by a transit station, a 115-room Hotel Indigo and a public parking garage with 203 spaces. The pedestrian-friendly district also will include town homes and two mixed-use condo buildings with 7,000 sf of retail. Milender White also has proposed a second phase to the north of Fourth Street Crossing with more residential and retail in a pedestrian-friendly environment.
