Lee Montgomery joined The Laramar Group as assistant vice president of information technology and business intelligence. Montgomery, a senior operations, finance and accounting executive, has more than 20 years of experience developing vision, processes and systems in the real estate and hospitality industries. He will be responsible for technical IT support and implementing, training and managing company business applications. He also will partner with internal customers to develop strategic technology initiatives in support of the Laramar portfolio of assets and potential acquisitions. Montgomery joins The Laramar Group’s Denver regional office from Wilkinson Asset Management, where he was executive vice president of operations. Previous to Wilkinson, Lee spent three years as an executive at Yardi Systems, eight years at Apartment and Investment Management Co. as senior vice president of revenue management and business intelligence and 12 years at Norwegian Cruise Line as vice president of revenue management and analytics. He earned his bachelor’s degree in operations from the University of Texas, his Master of Business Administration in finance and information technology from the University of Houston and is a licensed certified public accountant in the state of Colorado.Husch Blackwell added associate Seth Weiland to its Denver office. He will focus his practice primarily on real estate and development matters. Weiland received his Juris Doctor with honors from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta. During law school, Weiland interned with paper manufacturer Georgia-Pacific LLC, where he assisted real estate counsel with real property audits and filings, and was a summer associate at Weissman, Nowack, Curry & Wilco, a boutique real estate firm in Atlanta. He also served as a judicial intern for Geoffrey Crawford of Chittenden County Superior Court in Burlington, Vermont. Weiland received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. Also joining the Denver office are associates Marshall A. Custer and Courtney Lee Tawresey. Custer joined the firm’s securities and corporate governance group and Tawresey joined the financial services industry team, where she will focus on banking and finance and tax credit matters. Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Custer was an associate with Messner Reeves. His experience includes counseling high-tech startups on formation, financing, intellectual property and governance matters. He previously served as in-house counsel for a venturebacked digital music startup, where he was lead adviser for the company’s legal and regulatory matters. Custer received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business. He received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. Tawresey most recently served as an associate in the Seattle office of the law firm Garvey Schubert Barer. Prior to that, she was a senior tax associate in the Denver office of Grant Thornton. Tawresey brings experience in international tax, transactional tax, compliance and corporate law matters, and has assisted national and international companies with merger and acquisition planning and execution. Tawresey received her Master of Laws in taxation from Denver University Sturm College of Law. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School. She received her Bachlor of Arts, cum laude and with distinction, from Cornell University.Kimberly A. O’Hagan joined Otten Johnson Robinson Neff + Ragonetti PC as an associate. O’Hagan received her Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rodgers College of Law, cum laude. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Arizona. She will join the firm’s real estate practice group. Before law school, O’Hagan taught high school English in Arizona. She left teaching to work for a national defense contractor, where she continued to work part time while taking law classes.Workplace Resource added Mike Milligan, Rick Golden and Stephanie Jewell to its leadership team. Milligan joined Workplace Resource as vice president of sales and marketing. In addition to developing the sales and marketing teams, he will build new programs and growth strategies. Milligan joins the company with 30 years of industry expertise, the most recent two decades with executive case goods and seating manufacturer Geiger International, where he served as vice president of marketing. While at Geiger, Milligan led product design and development, collaborating with top designers and architects to triple new products’ share of revenue. Milligan has spent significant time in sales, sales operations, manufacturing, design and marketing. He has orchestrated complex projects for organizations including ExxonMobil, NationsBank (Bank of America tower in Atlanta), T. Rowe Price, KPMG, Dean Witter and Discover Card. Golden was named director of business development. He will be responsible for major project development as well as broadened interaction and support of the real estate and project management communities. Golden brings 16 years of interiors and furniture experience from both dealer and manufacturer perspectives to the firm. He is returning to Denver, where he served 10 years in the Herman Miller sales organization, engaging with the team on several projects, including CH2M Hill, Denver Newspaper Agency, Teletech, Qwest Cyber Solutions, Gates and Holland & Hart. Promoted to global account manager, he successfully served, among others, Electronic Arts, Walmart, AT&T, Chevron, Shell and Oracle. Golden relocated to Los Angeles to assume the role of regional sales director and later returned to the distribution channel as vice president of sales for Pivot Interiors, the Herman Miller dealer in Los Angeles. Jewell has joined Workplace Resource in the role of customer service manager. Jewell comes to Denver from Des Moines, Iowa, where she served more than a decade in several key roles for Herman Miller dealer Pigott Inc. These roles included major account management (Nationwide Insurance) and supervision of the project management department, among others.Katie Nobel was appointed business development officer in Denver for Stewart Title Commercial Services. Nobel will be responsible for developing new accounts and serving existing customers in the area. She has experience working in the Colorado real estate industry and is a graduate from the University of San Diego.CBRE is opening a new office in Boulder. Shane Bohart, first vice president, along with team members Katherine Mackintosh and Lindsay McCabe, will provide buyer representation services to investors seeking off-market investment opportunities for various property types with a focus on health care, assisted living facilities and student housing projects.
