An expanding technology company whose executive team is based in downtown Denver is bringing environmentally focused cloud hosting to the city with the acquisition of Boulder-based Ajubeo. Green House Data is a Wyoming-based cloud hosting, colocation, hybrid information technology and managed services company that has been expanding throughout the United States via mergers and acquisitions. Along with that growth, it has increased its data center footprint from a single facility to more than 100,000 square feet of space in 11 facilities with access to more than 250 carriers, service providers and content providers. With the acquisition of Ajubeo, an “infrastructure as a service provider” with a strong presence in the Rocky Mountain region as well as international brands, Green House launched into the greater Denver market a cloud hosting environment inside of the Fortrust Data Center at 4300 Brighton Blvd. in Denver, said Shawn Mills, Green House Data president and CEO. “From our perspective, we’re pretty excited about bringing our environmentally focused green footprint to Denver to really give the Denver market a new opportunity when it comes to buying private cloud services that align much more closely with their corporate initiatives,” Mills said. “We believe organizations that are headquartered or that want to be close to their customers in this region will find the Green House Data brand of high-touch, high-performance, sustainable cloud computing very attractive. Offering a right-sized IT environment and being focused on customer satisfaction has enabled our continuous growth, and I am thrilled to add an additional location in Denver,” he said. Green House Data anticipates approximately doubling its footprint in the Denver data center over the next 12 months. It also will slightly increase the size of its downtown Denver office to accommodate six new tech employees, four of which are coming from Ajubeo. The company is No. 25 on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s list of tech and telecom green power users. The Ajubeo acquisition was the company’s second M&A activity this year.
