St. Patrick alum with sons show off their tournaments rings Every year the parishioners at Sacred Heart Parish, Pascagoula, gather as a beautiful expression of love, devotion, and veneration to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Crowning of Mary during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. This cherished tradition continues to unite our community in faith and gratitude. This year, we were blessed to have four young girls assist in the crowning: Irene Ferrer, Marie Celeste Hull, Phy Uyen Ta and Sofia Gonzalez. With their presence, they beautifully reflected respect, faith, and reverence, reminding us all of the purity of heart that draws us closer to God. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the families who were involved in this special event. Your support and participation make this tradition meaningful and alive for our parish community. We also give special thanks to those who, year after year, generously offer their time and talent to create the crowns for Mary, Ale Valencia and Laly Soto. This year, we were blessed to have four different crowns used during each Mass over the weekend -- each one a unique symbol of love and devotion. As Catholics, the Crowning of Mary is a way of honoring her as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. It is a reminder of her special role in salvation history, her humility, and her complete “yes” to God’s will. Through this act, we entrust ourselves to her maternal care and ask for her prayers as she leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.
