LOUIS -- The St. Stanislaus Regiment Band brought home top honors from Biloxi, earning an “Excellent” rating at the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) State Concert Evaluation -- one of the highest distinctions a band can receive. The rating recognized the Regiment’s performance in both the concert and sight-reading portions of the evaluation, where bands are assessed by a panel of adjudicators on musical precision, tone quality, dynamics, and the ability to perform an unfamiliar piece at sight. The achievement is a testament to the months of dedicated rehearsal and preparation invested throughout the school year. St. Stanislaus commended the band members and their directors for representing the school with distinction on the state stage, reflecting both the talent of the students and the high standards upheld by the Regiment Band program. After the competition, the band celebrated the only way fitting for a group that had earned it -- with a well-deserved stop at Buc-ee’s. St. Stanislaus congratulates the Regiment Band on this outstanding recognition and looks forward to the program’s continued success. NAUI certification is one of the most widely recognized SCUBA credentials in the world, requiring students to master underwater safety, buoyancy control, equipment handling, and emergency procedures. The students՚ successful completion reflects both their individual commitment and the strength of the joint SSC and OLA Scuba Club program. St. Stanislaus College is proud of each newly certified diver and celebrates the unique opportunity the club provides for students from both schools to explore the underwater world together.
