The Church names these gifts clearly: wisdom, understanding, knowledge, fortitude, counsel, piety, and fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2-3). In a world that often says, “Do not believe,” the wisdom of God is essential. It helps us see the world as God created it and understand His truth. Understanding and knowledge deepen our awareness of God’s presence, especially in difficult moments. Fortitude gives us strength to stand as witnesses to Christ. Piety roots us in prayer, in the Word of God (Acts 2:42), and in the Eucharist, where we encounter the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Fear of the Lord reminds us that we are creatures, loved into being by God each day. In moments of deep sorrow, God gives consolation. In moments of weakness, He gives strength. In every moment, He remains with us. We are a people of faith, a people of the Resurrection, a people who carry the light of Christ into the world. And so, we are invited -- each of us -- to respond. To stand before the mystery of the cross and the empty tomb and to profess with our lives and our hearts: My Lord and my God.
