Photo/Brooke Holley Sacred Heart Parish, Hattiesburg Women’s Retreat “Come and see” (John 1:39) On the weekend of February 28-March 1, Sacred Heart Parish in Hattiesburg hosted a parish women’s retreat at the Monastery of the Visitation in Mobile, Alabama. Thirty women representing a variety of parish ministries attended the retreat. The retreat was led by Father Sergio Balderas, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, who expressed his gratitude to the team members who assisted in presenting the event: Amber Cole, Theresa Bush, Katie Graversen, Kayla Worrel, and Samantha Moore. As a follow-up to the retreat, participants are encouraged to continue their faith journey by taking the next step in the parish’s discipleship pathway. Opportunities include starting or joining small faith-sharing groups known as “quads” or participating in the Eucharistic Revival adult faith formation class.
