Please beware of individuals going door-to-door offering tests, vaccines, or cures for COVID-19. These individuals are asking for Medicare numbers, social security numbers and other per- sonal information. Scammers are also calling and emailing ben- eficiaries offering to send you a test or kit in the mail for Coronavirus or COVID-19 If you believe you have been exposed to the virus or need to be tested, please call your doctor or other trusted health care provider. Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) would like you to remember these tips: 1) Do not give your Medicare number or other personal in- formation to strangers. 2) Review your medical statements for potential errors, fraud or abuse. 3) Call SMP at 1-877-272-8720 to learn more or if you have been a victim of this scam.
