Page 7 PLATFORM FARREL BOOTH TRIBAL COUNCIL CANDIDATE SPECIAL ELECTION JULY 6, 2021 My name is Farrel Booth; I am the son of the late Elliott Booth and Leticia Arrison- Booth. I am Mohave and a proud member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes. I was raised on the Colorado River Indian Reservation on 14th Avenue and Agnes Wilson Road. I attended LePera, and I am a graduate of Parker High School. I left the CRIT Reservation in 1986, moved to Scottsdale, AZ, and attended Phoenix College and Arizona State University, earning my AA degree in business and Batchelor’s degree in psychology. During college, I began work at Walgreens in Scottsdale, AZ, where I went into man- agement and relocated to a new market in Southern California. I worked as Store Manager for 18 years. During this time, I was trans- ferred throughout Southern California to address and reorganize non- performing stores and recognized with two awards for top perform- ance at two Walgreen stores in the western region. In 2009 I returned home to the CRIT Reservation and started my 12-year career with Walmart Corporations, where I am currently employed. During the pandemic, I remained on the front line as an essential worker, and if elected as your Councilmember, I will continue to voice and represent the working class. I value local andTribal business and know that my knowledge, experience, and skills can be useful to help guide our government. I am enthusiastic about the expansion of our enterprises and govern- ment services, and I would commit to working with the members of Council to prioritize creating opportunities and services for our mem- bership. I am seeking your support to fill the current vacancy in our Tribal Council. Like all of you for the past year, my routine has been work and home, and I recently began going out into the world. During this pandemic, I lost my father and many friends to Covid-19. If elected to the Council, I would declare priority to the Tribes’ emergency response to this pandemic and preparation for future disaster plan- ning. My concern for our natural resources and water rights and the sur- vival of the Colorado River is at a critical peak, learning that Lake Mead is at the lowest measurement in its history. If elected, I will ded- icate my time to help calculate solutions for our community and pro- tect our water rights. Furthermore, I will do what is in the interest of CRIT and commit where I can to be a catalyst for the survival of the southwest and our neighboring tribes during this drought. I am thankful for my survival and yours. It is my hope that our Tribe progresses in the path of inclu- sion and that we enhance and expand the dialog between leadership and membership so that we may safely come through these times together. I look forward to sharing more information about myself and my cam- paign. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out. Respectfully, Farrel Booth
