Page 19 Obituaries In Loving Memory of Clyde Herman Cornelius September 5, 1935—May 31, 2020 Clyde Herman Cornelius Sr., 84 of Parker, Arizona, passed away at Estrella Rehab Center in Avondale, Arizona, on Sunday, May 31, 2020. Clyde was born in West DePere, Wisconsin, on September 5, 1935, to Eastman Cornelius and Ellen (Moore) Cornelius, he married Betty L. (Eddy) Cornelius on June 22, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had one son Clyde Cornelius Jr. and one grandson, Thomas Cornelius. Clyde is also survived by a sister, Yvonne Honea, Van, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Clyde, a member of the Oneida Tribe of Indians in Wisconsin, was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Lillian Bischoff, Leila Carson, and Caroleen Skenandore, and four brothers; Carl Cornelius, Clifford Cornelius, Eastman Cornelius, and Orville Cornelius. Clyde had an illustrious life and career. He graduated from Freedom High School, Freedom, Wisconsin in 1955; he earned a bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Business in 1957 from Haskell Institute, Lawrence, Kansas. Upson graduation, his first assignment was with the Area Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1958, he was drafted and served a two-year military stint stationed in Germany. After his discharge, he returned to the Phoenix Area Office and resumed his career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Over the years, he transferred six times to different states for his civil service career. After over thirty-three years, he retired from public service on November 30, 1990. He moved his family for the last return to work for a few years with the Quechan Indian Tribe, Yuma, Arizona, and the Colorado River Indian Tribes, Parker, Arizona. Clyde loved to fish, hunt, travel, gamble at casinos, watch sports, and when younger to go boating and skiing. He was die-hard Green Bay Packers fan. However, he also sup- ported the Arizona Cardinals and baseball franchise the Arizona Diamondbacks. His fishing skills came from the old school fishermen of his youth. He said, “Fishing was in their blood and his.” He was happy to see his family carry on the Oneida traditions. Clyde had a wonderful sense of humor; he loved Mexican Cuisine, loved the desert, and loved his family. He will be greatly missed. In Loving Memory of James “Bogart” Logan October 1, 1980--June 6, 2020 James LaRosa Logan, known to many as Bogart, passed away on June 6, 2020. James was the loving husband to Kristina Logan and a loving father to Kellisa Renee, Karrisa Eileen, Jamee Kaydence, and Julian Leonard. James was born on October 1, 1980, in Lake Havasu, Arizona, to Marna Logan and the late Julian Logan. James’ paternal grand- parents were the late James Logan and Della Norma Welsh Logan. James’ maternal grandparents are Catherine Miller and the late Robert Miller. James is survived by his brothers and sisters: Robbie Saavedra, Brandon Saavedra, Billy Napier, Jonathan Logan, Yvonne Logan, Joanne Laffoon, Cynthia Ameelyenah, Jeremy Logan, Eva Logan, and Raymond Logan. James was very proud of all his brothers and sisters. James spent most of his youth in Parker, Arizona. James attended Junior High School at Theodore Roosevelt Indian Boarding school in Fort Apache, Arizona, and Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California. James later attended Collins College in the Phoenix area studying computer programming. After many years of studying on the road, James brought his knowledge and personality back home and worked at the Bluewater Resort and Casino. James was a gentle giant. James’ social personality was a huge part of what attracted his many friends to open their lives to him. This warm and open personality shaped lasting relationships with many people establishing their unique friendships. James’ generosity and thoughtfulness had no bounds for the people he loved. James and Kristina were mar- ried on May 10, 2003, and had four loving, beautiful children. James expressed his love by always being supportive of all his children’s extracurricular activities. James volun- teered his time with his children’s 4H club, FFA club, Pop Warner Football, CRIT basket- ball league, baseball, and volleyball. James loved his children to be immersed in clubs and leagues and loved for them experiencing many various activities. James was always willing to do what he could to make sure everyone benefited from their experiences and opportunities. James was so proud to see his children involved in any activity and was proud to see the character that each moment instilled in his children. James was an avid Steelers fan; he loved football season and cheering for his team. James cherished his collection of chips from various casinos he had visited. James loved to relax by playing his golf game on his phone; he also enjoyed dominating the various native tug of war contests annually. James loved to travel with his family and exposing them to new experiences. James loved finishing up the week with Sunday family dinner that included great food and company. James will always be missed and never forgotten. In Loving Memory of Barney “Beaver” Aspa September 15, 1949—June 25, 2020 In Scripture, Ecclesiastes 3:1 it is said: “To everything, there is a season. A season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill, and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” Barney “Beaver” Charles Aspa, Jr. passed away at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona. Each of us, whether his family or friends are still mourning his passing and trying to reconcile with our grief. Barney’s life reached out to so many others. Barney was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Barney was equally loved in return by his family and friends. Barney was blessed with the ability to make others feel like each was his personal friend. He was always good to greet others with a smile and “HELLO.” Whether Barney knew it or not, his greeting became something that was looked forward to by those he would regularly encounter during his lifetime of daily activities.
