Don’t Miss Free Shred-a-Thon Take advantage of Leisure World’s annual community Shred-a-Thon on Friday, April 29 to have your confidential documents destroyed. With fraud and identity theft reaching epidemic proportions, this event helps prevent having your paperwork fall into the wrong person’s hands. You may bring up to five storage boxes of papers for shredding. Paper products only, please. No cardboard or common garbage or trash. Location will be south of the LW Blvd. near the Southern Ave. The event is hosted by your Leisure World Security Team and is sponsored by RE/MAX Classic. Date: Fri., April 29 Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 p.m. New Location: South end of LW Blvd. near Southern Ave. All Mesa Recycling Drop-Off Centers Closed! Due to increasing recycling processing fees and decreasing commodity values, the City of Mesa has found it necessary to reevaluate its entire recycling program. While we value the importance and place a high priority on conserving our natural resources, we must also take into account financial considerations to ensure we are able to maintain a sustainable program. As many residents know, the blue bins were removed fromVia Norte Yard on Friday, November 8, 2019. Residents must now dispose of paper and cardboard in their normal trash pickup. The City of Mesa does offer to recycle for their residential trash customers for an additional cost. We are a county island, so this does not pertain to Leisure World. The Via Norte Yard has a dumpster for overflow if your curbside garbage container is full before your weekly pickup. Recycling Options J&C Recycling 431 S.
