We have an anchor script for our February production! The Complaint Department and Lemonade is a fast-paced riot of laughs, featuring a host of characters who do not always have it together but manage to learn from each other. We still have roles available; all with a minimal number of lines. Rehearsals will be scheduled for small groups and at the group’s convenience. So, if you have been thinking of giving comedy a try, give us a shout! If you are not an onstage person, come work with props, lighting, sound, house, etc. Our next meeting is on Wednesday, December 15 at 12:00 p.m. in the King Card Room in Rec.1. We guarantee a warm welcome with some laughter thrown in for good measure! For more information, please contact Denise Haala at 224-805-7885 or denisehaala@gmail.com. Leisure World Shalom Group Submitted by Neesa Galanti The Jewish holiday of Chanukah commemorates the victory of the Maccabees over the Syrian Army and the subsequent miracle of rededicating the Temple in Jerusalem. The miracle of Chanukah is that only one vial of oil was found to light the Temple lamp for one day and yet the oil lasted for eight full days. That is why the holiday is celebrated for eight days.
