Leisure World News • Golf • November 2021 B31 Guys and Dolls Submitted by Carole Foley Guys and Dolls golf is back for the 2021 - 2022 season! Guys and Dolls is a fun couples’ golf group (one man and one woman) that plays 18 holes of golf at Heron Lakes on the rst and third Sundays from December through March. Our rst day of play is Sunday, December 5, 2021. All players must have a Leisure World handicap. If you do not have a handicap established, please see the Heron Lakes pro shop before the day of play to obtain a provisional handicap. Sign up at Heron Lakes before noon on ursday prior to Sunday play. Play begins with an afternoon shotgun start, followed by a social. Social events are BYOB and bring a snack to share. e cost is $5 per couple for sweeps and social, plus green fees. Special events will have an extra fee. Heron Lakes Ladies’ 9-Hole League Submitted by Peggy Babb We are excited to welcome back our current league members! We look forward to meeting new members! Our league meets for golf each Tuesday from November through April, alternating morning and afternoon golf. ere is a special event every month. • November: We will celebrate being back together with a Welcome Back Brunch. • December: Our 9-Hole League will hostess a Christmas Party for the Heron Lakes Ladies 18- Hole League. • January: e highlights are that we invite golfers from six other communities to participate in an exciting event. is year’s theme is: Putting on the Ritz! • February: We will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a party hosted by the Heron Lakes Ladies 18- Hole League. • March: Our members will invite guests to join us for golf. • April: We will end the season with our annual Fun Day. Heron Lakes Women’s 18-Hole Golf League Submitted by Nita Calow Starting on Monday, November 1, the Heron Lakes Women’s 18 Hole League will play on ursday afternoons. e rst three weeks will be played at Coyote Run from the gold tees due to the overseeding. We wish to welcome back our former members and any new members to our league. ere will be registration forms available at Heron Lakes and Coyote Run starting on Monday, November 1. Please ll them out and return them with a check or cash to the Heron Lakes Golf Pro Shop. ere will be a social in the golf lounge at Heron Lakes after golf every week.
