John Gasses
John Gasses, age 49, of
McDonough, Ga., died Wednes-
day, May 4, 2016. He was born
in Griffin, Ga., to Jesse John
Gasses, II and Virginia Carol
Goodson Gasses, He was pre-
ceded in death by his brother,
Steven Gasses.
Mr. Gasses is survived by his
wife, Samantha Gasses, McDon-
ough, Ga.; sons, Jordan Gasses,
and John Gasses, McDonough,
Ga.; and his brother, Gary
Gasses, Riverdale, Ga.
Funeral services were held at
2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10,
2016 at The Chapel of Cannon
Cleveland Funeral Directors.
Interment followed at McDon-
ough City Cemetery. The family
received friends Monday, May 9,
2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the

97, of Stockbridge, Ga., died

Ora Turner Adams
Mrs. Ora Turner Adams, age
91, of McDonough, Ga., passed
away on Friday, May 6, 2016.
Mrs. Adams was born in
Greenwood, SC the daughter of
the late Ora Smith Turner and
Albert Turner. Mrs. Adams was
a
devoted
member
of
McDonough
First
Baptist
Church. During her career, she
enjoyed being a high school
teacher and her last job before
her retirement in 1986 was with
Lake Shore High School. She
was preceded in death by five
brothers and four sisters.
Survivors are her husband,
James E. Adams Sr. of
McDonough; son and daughter-
in-law, James E. Adams Jr. and
Janet of McDonough; grand-
daughter, Tracy Thomas and her
husband, Eston of Centreville,
Va.;
great-grandchildren,
Bennett and Cora Thomas of
Centreville, Va.; numerous
nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs.
Adams was held on Monday,
May 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the
chapel of Greenwood Memorial
Gardens in Hodges, S.C. The
family received friends one hour
prior to the service. Harley
Funeral Home of Greenwood,
S.C. is in charge of arrange-

John Hunter Ramsey, Sr.
CMSgt John Hunter Ramsey,
Sr., age 73, of McDonough, Ga.,
passed away on Friday, May 6,
2016. John was born on
Thursday, November 5, 1942 in
Bedford, Indiana to the late
Charles Ezra Ramsey and the
late Clara Hunter Ramsey. He
proudly served in the United
States Air Force for 29 plus
years, retiring as a Chief Master
Sergeant. John enjoyed playing
golf and bowling. He was pre-
ceded in death by his brothers,
Leroy, Leathel, Harold, Charles
Jr., and Jerry; sisters, Melody,
Juanitta, and Nathalee.
John is survived by his wife,
Becky Cook Ramsey; children
and their spouses, Cindy Gale
and Vince Wallace, Julie Anne
and Randy Harris, John Hunter,
Jr. and Chrischel Ramsey;
grandchildren, Shaun Robert,
Joshua Scott, Justin Shane
Wallace, and Luke Allen Harris;
four great-grandchildren; in-
laws, Barbara and Don Little,
Randy Cook, Sandra James,
Richard Cook, Russell Cook,
and Donald and Angela Cook;
special nephews, Tory Stinson
and Carl MatthewWilson, sever-
al other nieces and nephews.

Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy
L. Mangham officiating. Inter-
