Right to Life Rally R esurrection C atholic S chool , P ascagoula Students and staff at St. Vincent dePaul School in Long Beach celebrated their patron’s feast day with a full day retreat. After Mass, each class rotated through a schedule of activity stations focusing on St. Vincent and his love for the poor. In the art station, older students decorated bibs and onesies to help the Walking With Moms in Need ministry. Younger grades made cards to go with them. Before creating the cards, bibs, and/or onesies, the students prayed for the moms and babies who would receive them. Teachers led the students through prayer -- asking our Blessed Mother what she wanted them to pray for the “moms in need.” Then they went to Our Father in prayer asking Him to bless those moms and their babies. It was beautiful -- and the bibs, onesies, and cards are spectacular. Sixth graders, Adelynn Covington, Maggie Scha- umburg, and Zach Segrest holding onesies. S t . L ouis Evan Noel sets new MS high school field goal record On Friday, September 20, St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel made Mississippi high school football history. He successfully booted an incredible 61-yard field goal. This extraordinary achievement shattered the previous state record. The old record of 59 yards had stood for three decades. Clarksdale’s Lemeko Williams set the previous record in 1994. Noel’s exception performance did not go unnoticed. In rec- ognition of his record-breaking kick, he was honored as the Kohl’s Kicking National Player of the Week for September 25. Noel, a member of the Class of 2025, has secured his future in collegiate football. He has committed to continue his academic and ath- letic career at the University of Arkansas. Congrat- ulations Evan! Evan Noel prepares to kick record-breaking field goal to break the record.
