Gulf Pine Catholic • November 8, 2024 11 Holy Rosary Parish in Hattiesburg celebrates 75th Anniversary Holy Rosary Parish in Hattiesburg is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. On October 20, Bishop Louis F. Kihneman visited the parish for Mass and brunch. At top left, the bishop blesses a new statue of Our Lady of the Rosary. At top right, Bishop Kihneman receives the collection basket from Holy Rosary parishioner Dr. David Tisdale. Bottom left, l-r, are Deacon Adam Frey, Bishop Kihnemasn, Deacon Randy Duke, and Holy Rosary pastor Father Ken Ramon-Landry. Bottom right, Holy Rosary parishioners filled the pews for the special celebration. The parish was staffed by the Society of the Divine Word from its establishment in 1949 until 1966, when Father Peter Quinn was named pastor. Other pastors have included Father Joe Dilettuso, Father Ivan Weis, Father James Taylor, Father Charles Venus, and Father Bill Vollor. Photos/Terry Dickson
