The Rescue Project is a global movement from ACTS 29 that launched last year. It flows from the conviction that the most urgent task in the Church is a compelling and attractive proclamation of the gospel. Its aim is threefold: that people might be overwhelmed by the good news of what God has done for us, moved to sur- render their lives to Jesus in faith, and mobilized for mission. Cathedral, Biloxi, Sept. 17, Vincentians Brothers and Sisters ~ Annually there is a celebration of Frederick Ozanam throughout St. Vincent de Paul. Frederick Ozanam was the founder of our St. Vincent de Paul. The celebration this year in Southern Mississippi will be at our Biloxi Cathedral -- Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral Parish. The address is: 870 Nativity Drive, Biloxi. The celebra- tion occurs on Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. The celebration begins with a Mass, then a short photo shoot secession, and finally, a potluck luncheon for all to attend. Provided no changes to his busy sched- ule, our Bishop, The Most Reverent Bishop Louis Kihneman will celebrate Mass with us and will attend the luncheon with us afterwards. The luncheon will be set up right behind the Nativity Cathedral. You, and your family are invited to attend this wonderful cele- bration. This year we’re celebrating the lifelong works of four of our Vincentians: Mary Francis Ford, William (Bill) Migley, Darlene and Mike Barry. Each has been nominated and will receive the coveted honor of Jubilarian. They will receive the unique Jubilarian Cross, which will be blessed and presented by our Bishop Kihneman.
