Gulf Pine Catholic

16 Gulf Pine Catholic • September 1, 2023 On Saturday, July 1, our CYO youth and adults volunteered at the Humane Society of South Mississippi in downtown Gulfport. They made treats for the dogs by stuffing kongs with dog treats and Velveeta cheese. They made other dog treats by taking cereal boxes, smearing the inside with peanut butter, and sticking dog treats onto the peanut butter so that the dogs can tear into the box for fun. Then they got to play with three different dogs outside. We had a great turnout for our youth to learn how to take care of God’s creation through the HSSM! The group picture includes the following: Gabe Radix, Luke Denoux, Tristan Lizana, Christian Caquias, Dylan Boone, Alex Bowen, Anna Lauren Mixon, Isabel Blosser, Bella Bowen, Zenaida Caquias, Trinity Radix, and Jeannine Atkinson. We pray these coolers provide comfort and support to whoever receives them! Comeback Coolers is an organization that aims to deliver a much needed and deserved break to those who have been in the path of a natural disaster. They deliver ice-packed coolers with drinks, beer, oranges, and wet wipes to storm-ridden areas. They also deliver coolers specifically for children and non-alcoholic coolers for adults. S t .
