Gulf Pine Catholic • May 26, 2023 22 Sixth graders and their teachers from St. Vincent dePaul in Long Beach attended the National Day of Prayer at Long Beach City Hall. This is an annual tradition for the school. This year, two SVdP students led the gathering in the Pledge of Allegiance. L ouis Rock-A-Chaws / Our Lady Academy Crescents MHSAA Class 3A Tennis Champions The St. Stanislaus Rock-A-Chaws / Our Lady Academy Crescents are the MHSAA Class 3A tennis champions of 2023! The team defeated Booneville High School six courts to one. Cole Bryant won singles 6-3, 7-5, Evan Noel and Bobby Hebert won doubles 7-6, 6-2. Alston Davidson and Alyssa Kirkland won mixed doubles 6-3, 7-5. Congratulations to Coach Garman and the entire team on a terrific season. Rock-A-Chaws win MHSAA Class 3A State Tennis Singles & Doubles Championship In the individual tennis team performances, Cole Bryant defeated Finn Tarver of St. Andrews to win the Individual MHSAA Class 3A State singles Tennis Championship. The Doubles Tennis State Championship was an all-SSC match with Bobby Hebert and Evan Noel defeating Noah Lemmon and Jack Farr making the Rocks the State Champions and the Runners up in that event.
