Gulf Pine Catholic • May 26, 2023 20 On Monday, May 1, the PreK four-year-old students at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in Long Beach led the school's annual May Crowning. Students, teachers and staff gathered at the grotto on the school grounds. Each PreK student placed a flower or flowers at the foot of Mary. Then Clark Hansen and Grove Alleman presented a crown of flowers. Everyone sang Immaculate Mary . Then the normal morning assembly took place outside in the grotto. E lizabeth S eton P arish , O cean S prings May Crowning The annual May Crowning of Mary, sponsored by St. Elizabeth Seton’s Altar Society, was held on Sunday, May 7, in Ocean Springs. Prior to the crowning, the rosary was recited. First Communicants participated in the crowning including the student crowning Mary, McKenzie Feaster, and honor guard, John Douglas Dykes, left, who are pictured entering the church. The other students, also honor guards, placed bouquets of flowers in vases at Mary’s feet.
