Sunday, May 7, the CCD/CYO of Our Mother of Mercy began the month of May with a presentation and crowning of our Blessed Mother, Mary. Two of their 2023 seniors, John-Xavier Thornton (PCHS) and Kya Cole (HHS) presented and crowned the Mother Mary statue while the other children placed flowers at her feet. Immediately following Mass, the children of CCD/CYO recited the Rosary in front of the Blessed Mary statue outside the church. Sunday, May 14, Our Mother of Mercy continued their devotion to our Spiritual Mother and a special thanks to all mothers on Mother's Day with a special “Turnout” by the Knights of St. Peter Claver, Council #26 and Ladies Auxiliary St. Stephen's Court #26.
