Gulf Pine Catholic • April 28, 2023 23 Jordan Conway, third grade student at Nativity BVM Parish School, portrayed Jesus in the Live Stations of the Cross. Live Stations of the Cross N ativity BVM S chool , B iloxi CONGRATULATIONS!!!! to the 16 couples who finished the program, six dates for Catholic couples. The last date/class was done with a delicious candlelight, dinner, for the two (husband and wife), wedding cake and a romantic evening. Some members of the youth ministry were the waiters and helped to serve dinner to the couples. At this young age, they are disciples serving the Church. They learned it from the youth team leaders. Our next program for couples is “ The ChoiceWine, ” seven steps for an abundant marriage. We start in May on Mondays. All are welcome. Childcare will be provided. Marriage Ministry S t . New Catholics S t . J ohn the E vangelist P arish , G ulfport St. Thomas the Apostle’s Service and Social Justice Committee put together Easter baskets which were delivered to shut-ins and senior citizens in their parish. Each basket contained items donated by parishioners including religious items, chocolates, puzzles, stuffed animal and small canned hams as well as Easter cards and greetings from different parish groups. The committee, started by Fr. Vincent, has members from all organizations at St. Thomas. The children of A.D. and Marge Taylor sponsored this year’s baskets in memory of their parents.
