Collection April 29 and 30 St. Elizabeth Seton Parish welcomes Brown During the Octave of Easter, St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Ocean Springs welcomed Gary Brown as a parishioner. Gary received the sacraments of initiation and made a profession of faith. Due to health issues, Gary was unable to come to church for the RCIA instruction. To respond to his desire to become Catholic, the Church, responding to the Great Commission to “Go and make Disciples” , went to his house to instruct him on the Catholic doctrine using the CREDO program. Many thanks to John Meadows, Frank Easter, Deacon Mike Butler, and OCIA coordinator Amy Meadows for instructing Gary at home. His sponsor was his wife Mary Brown. Gary chose St. John as his patron Saint. He explained to Father Sergio Balderas that he chose St. John because he was the beloved disciple of Jesus and Jesus entrusted His mother Mary to St. John.
