Three St. Vincent dePaul School students won a contest to create a design for the Art in the Pass t-shirts. The contest asked students to depict what they love and/or find beautiful in “The Pass.” Kate Day in third grade, Sophia Gonzalez in fifth grade, and sixth grader Isabella Dardar’s designs were chosen from the many who entered. The contest was open to all elementary students in Pass Christian. Those who visit War Memorial Park and Art in the Pass on April 1-2 will be able to purchase the shirts. S t . Photo/David Tisdale Artist Diane St. Germain visits school S acred H eart C atholic S chool , H attiesburg N ativity BVM S chool , B iloxi National Elementary Honor Society inductees On April 3, Nativity BVM Catholic School was excited to induct fourteen new members into the school’s chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society. Membership in Nativity’s chapter is based on academic merit and personal responsibility. Members pledge to follow the four pillars of honor society: scholarship, responsibility, service and leadership. In addition, honor society members complete four service projects a year, attend monthly meetings and are leaders in their school. NEHS Faculty Advisor, Allison Watts, is proud to support what she believes is a great organization and a truly inspirational group of students. The combination of merit based recognition, academic excellence and student responsibility sets the bar high for these students and Nativity BVM School is exceptionally proud of their accomplish- ments. This is Nativity’s second year as a NEHS chapter school.
