Gulf Pine Catholic • April 14, 2023 13 Sacred Heart Parish in D’Iberville hosted the Landry/Lepoma St. Joseph Altar the weekend of March 17-19. Bishop Louis F. Kihneman III blessed the altar in the presence of Sacred Hearts School students, faculty and staff. Also present were Sacred Heart Pastor Father Dominic Phan and his faithful companion, Lucky. Photos/Juliana Skelton Sacred Heart Parish, D’Iberville St. Joseph Altars Sacred Heart Parish, Hattiesburg The St. Joseph Altar at Sacred Heart, Hattiesburg, honors the patron saint of the universal church. No meal is served from this altar. Food items on the altar are all donated by parishioners. Once the altar is blessed, the items on the altar are available for parishioners to take what they want. Parishioners may give a monetary donation if that are able. Proceeds collected at the altar are donated to our local St. Vincent de Paul Society to help the poor and needy in our area.
