Baseball Signings Kyle Achord, VP of Team Sales for Marucci Sports, and Brad Corley, St. Stanislaus varsity baseball coach, held a powerful discussion on Dec. 1 for young baseball players and their parents. During the presentation, Achord called upon parents to put their sons in the best position possible to be successful as a baseball players, but more important as a person. Coach Corley stressed the importance of being a good person, a good student, a good team- mate, and developing a good worth ethic. Achord finished the evening with a discussion about bat technology and how to select a proper bat and glove for their son. Six individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with few resources were chosen this year. Five individuals are supervised living clients of St. Francis Ministries. Two live at Cheshire Home in Gulfport, three live at Bridgeway in Picayune and one is a supervised employment client in Picayune.
