November 12-14 Mafia Murder Mystery dinner benefits St. Mary’s bocce court GULFPORT -- The Godfather is hosting a birthday party for his loyal friends. Except not all of his friends are so loyal. A “Mafia Murder Mystery Dinner” series opens Fri., Nov. 12, that will help construct a first-class bocce facility by the Mississippi Society of Italian Americans (MS SOFIA) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woolmarket. The murder mystery will feature cast mem- bers Jimmy Duggan of St. Mary’s, Lucy Sutherlin, an Our Lady of Fatima School teacher, and Harrison County District Five Supervisor Connie Rockco. A homemade lasagna bolognese din- ner will precede the shows at 6 p.m. on Fri. and Sat., Nov. 12 and 13 (showtime is 7 p.m.), and at 1 p.m. on Sun., Nov 14 (showtime is 2 p.m.). If the opening weekend sells out, an encore weekend of performances will be held Nov. 19-21. LOUIS -- Saint Stanislaus will hold an Open House on Tues., Nov. 16, 5-7 p.m. Saint Stanislaus is a Catholic, all-boys boarding and day school serving young men in grades seven through twelve. November 20 Eagle Catholic Fall Raffle HATTIESBURG -- The Eagle Catholic Fall Raffle will be held Sat., Nov. 20, 6-9 p.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 3117 West 4th Street. Tickets are $100 per ticket. Each ticket admits two adults. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 50 percent will go to Eagle Catholic and 40 percent will be set aside for prize money. Father Godfrey Andoh and members of our retreat team will be presenting. In addition to our guest speakers you will have the oppor- tunity to participate in Adoration and Confession as well as 4 p.m. Mass. A light continental breakfast will be served as well as lunch and dinner (following Mass). The retreat is free to attend and people from all parishes are welcome to join us.
