St. Alphonsus Prayer Warriors for Our Shepherds OCEAN SPRINGS -- The members of the Prayer Warriors for Our Shepherds Committee would like to thank the 210 parishioners who so generously signed up to contribute prayers to the Spiritual Bouquet presented to our Diocesan priests and deacons at their respective convocations. The Spiritual Gift consisted of 577 Masses, 1,642 Rosaries, 357 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration, 1,267 Chaplets of Divine Mercy, 114 Novenas, 446 Memorares, and 145 Fasts. In addition, many thanks to the 40 Prayer Warriors who pray daily for our priests and dea- cons throughout October. Thanks also to the wonderful chil- dren and staff of St. Alphonsus School who have embraced this effort and in the process expressed their prayers through a number of charming works of art which was set up at the Convocations. Prayer is Powerful! EVERY Prayer matters. Please continue to lift up our Bishop and all our clergy in your prayers. We benefit by the gift of their vocations. November 20 Eagle Catholic Fall Raffle HATTIESBURG -- The Eagle Catholic Fall Raffle will be held Sat., Nov. 20, 6-9 p.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 3117 West 4th Street. Tickets are $100 per ticket. Each ticket admits two adults. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 50 percent will go to Eagle Catholic and 40 percent will be set aside for prize money. There is a minimum $5,000 grand prize, as well as $1,000 and three $500 prizes. Winners need not be present.
