Gulf Pine Catholic • October 15, 2021 23 Lucy Sutherlin’s fourth grade English class recently completed a very special interview and report project. The students got to interview their grandparents to learn a little more about them and what life was like when they were younger. There were about 20 questions the students asked, and they ranged from: Where did you go to elementary school and what was life like when you were in my grade? What was your first job? How did you meet your spouse and what was a typical date like? If you could give one piece of advice to young people today, what would it be? Students also brought in a picture of them and their grandparents to accompany the report. The students and grandparents alike learned from this project and really enjoyed completing it. Sixth graders: (l-r) Isabella Van Acker, Mary Weeks, Roman Smith, Riley Powers, Coach Camps, and kneeling, Anna Gollott Coach Mario Camps, Fatima’s new Spanish teacher, has been a most welcome addition to the Fatima Family. All Fatima students, first-sixth grade, attend two Spanish lessons per week, and Pre K4 and Kindergarten receive one lesson per week. Their most recent project was to research and make an oral presentation on a Spanish-speaking country, and original artwork of each country’s flag accompanied the presentation. The students are loving learning a new language.
