Thanks LONG BEACH --The Society of St. Vincent de Paul thanks the many organizations and friends that helped make its hurricane recovery efforts successful. St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society across the coast donated much- needed supplies and money. Many SVdP confer- ences worked together to make this a success. Conferences as far away as Hurley donated goods. The group especially thanks David Fayard of Ace Data Storage for donating the semi-truck to carry aid to the greatly impacted community of Larose Louisiana. The truck was filled with twenty-six pallets of cleaning supplies and food. “With the memory of the destruction in our area after Hurricane Katrina,” said Mike Barry, pres- ident of the group, “we must always pay it for- ward.
