Gulf Pine Catholic • December 25, 2020 15 Spotlight on Schools Members of the Resurrection Catholic School community and members of the Eagle Legacy Club joined forces to raise money for the school’s debt reduction efforts by having a Curbside Cajun Dinner to go, and it was a tremendous success! Community members volunteered to fry fish and cook pastalaya, and students helped bake cakes and deliver meals to customers. Even Father Adam pitched in by selling his famous honey vodka for the cause. Resurrection is grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this dinner. Resurrection Catholic School, Pascagoula Katherine Vernon and Gena Gatschet’s Pre-K4 Class celebrated the feast day of St. Juan Diego by making tilmas with the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. St. Alphonsus Elementary School, Ocean Springs Saint Stanislaus Big Brother / Little Brother Program Saint Stanislaus believes in building a family community among its students. One of the time-honored traditions is the Big Brother / Little Brother program. The Big Brothers serve as role models to their Little Brothers and help them as they adjust to their new school environment. Throughout the course of the year, the Big Brother and Little Brother get together and join in activities. Senior are paired with seventh graders for events throughout the year. Senior Braden Schatzle, St. Stan Senior Liam Flickinger, and seventh-grader Nathan Trahan For over 50 years, Brother Eduardo Baldioceda has demonstrated his dedication to the mission of Saint Stanislaus through his ministry as a teacher, prefect, choral director, moderator of the Robotics and Radio Clubs, and much more. He was inducted into the Saint Stanislaus Hall of Fame on March 3, 2013, and he continues to form the boys of SCC into Men of Character to this day.
