Gulf Pine Catholic • November 29, 2019 4 Most Reverend Louis F. Kihneman, III Bishop of Biloxi Office of the Bishop 1790 Popps Ferry Road Biloxi, MS 39532-2118 “Know that the LORD is God, He made us, we belong to Him, we are His people, the flock He shepherds. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.” Psalm 100:3-4 My dear brothers and sisters in Christ: As we give thanks to God for the many blessings we have received, let us remember that He has promised to walk with us hand-in-hand in all things. It is in moments such as these that we are reminded of His love for us and the gift of His son, Jesus Christ, in our lives, the lives of our families, and our Church. Thanksgiving Day, and every day, let us call to mind the words of Holy Scripture in Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” We come to God in prayer and petition, for as a human family and a human Church, we need to ask for His love, His help, and His grace. So let us “Give thanks to the LORD, who is good, whose love endures forever”. 1 Chronicles 16:34 May God continue to bless you and your families and our Church, for like Saint Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:4 , “I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus”. I am remembering you in my prayers and Masses I offer daily, especially on Thanksgiving Day. Sincerely yours in Christ, Most Reverend Louis F. Kihneman, III Bishop of Biloxi
