Donations for Retired Priests The Association of Priests of the Dioceses of Biloxi and Jackson provide a small pension to our retired priests. As you consider your estate plans, please, remember these faithful servants by making a donation or leaving a bequest to the Association of Priests. December 5 An Hour of Grace BILOXI -- Blessed Seelos Church in Biloxi will host an Hour of Grace Thur., Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. During Hour of Grace, we adore His presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist. The movie will be Christmas with a Capital C . A lawyer returns to his home town at Christmas to find his high school rival is now the mayor. He decides to try and oust his old enemy from office, while also organizing a campaign to put a stop to the community’s traditional festive celebrations. December 7 Art and Craft Sale BILOXI -- The residents of Santa Maria Retirement Community will be having an Arts and Craft Sale on Saturday Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. A great time to Christmas shop and see all the beautiful hand-made gifts. The doors will open at 8 a.m. at 1788 Medical Park Dr. in Biloxi. December 7 Church Windows Pilgrimage LONG BEACH -- Begin Advent with a pilgrimage walk through Salvation history, from creation to Saint Pope John Paul II, as told in stained glass through the windows of St Thomas the Apostle Church in Long Beach. December 7 Breakfast with Santa BILOXI -- Nativity BVMSchool will host Breakfast with Santa at the Half Shell Oyster House in Biloxi on Dec. 7 from 8-10 a.m. Five dollar admission comes with a pancake breakfast and photos with Santa. December 7 Sacred Heart School Crusader 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run HATTIESBURG -- The Sacred Heart School Crusader 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will take place Dec. 7. The 5K begins at 9 a.m. and the Fun Run at 9:45 a.m., both at Town Square Park, located at 302 Walnut Street, next to the Main Street/Bay Street intersection. The registration fee is $25 before noon Friday, Nov. 22. Late registration is $30 and $40 the day of the events. Event T-shirts are only guaranteed to those registering by Nov. 22. Race day on-site registration will be from 7-8:30 a.m. at Town Square Park. Awards categories include overall male and female winner and top male and female finishers in the age groups 6 and under; 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70-plus. The top male and female winner will receive a pair of running shoes, and the top male and female winner per category will receive a gift. All 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run finishers will also receive a finisher medal. Proceeds from the annual event are used to fund renovations and updates to Sacred Heart elementary and high schools. December 7 St. Rose to host Reindeer Fun Run -- Walk BAY ST. LOUIS -- St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church is hosting a Reindeer 5K Fun Run - 2-Mile Walk on Sat., Dec. 7. Runners and walkers will take off from Washington Street on the Beach Walk at 8 a.m. and head south toward Aiken Street and return to the finish line at Washington Street. Prizes will be awarded to first and second place finishers in the boys and girls under 18 division, and adult male and female 18 years of age and older catego- ries in the 5K run. Prizes for best costumes will be awarded to children 15 years of age and younger. Adults and children of all ages are invited to par- ticipate. Registration for the 5K Fun Run -- 2-Mile Walk costs $20 per adult and $12 per child under 18 years of age. If there is more than one child in a family, the cost is $10 per child. If you are not interested in participating as a runner or walker and would like to support this church fund- raiser, tee shirt sponsorships are available. Businesses or family names and logos will be placed on the back of the tee shirt at a cost of $100. December 9 An Advent Mission BILOXI -- An Advent Mission with Father Louis Guardiola with take place Mon., Dec. 9 through Wed., Dec. 11, at 6 p.m. each night at Blessed Seelos Catholic Church.
