14 Gulf Pine Catholic • July 27, 2018 Spotlight on Schools D iocesan H appenings St. Patrick Catholic High School eighth grade student Caden DeMers attended the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) in Washington, D.C., last week. He was nominated by one of his teachers at St. Patrick to attend the conference. JrNYLC in one of the programs offered by Envision, and specifically is the premier leadership development program for middle school students. At the Conference, seventh and eighth grade students from across the country have the opportunity to spend six days in and around the nation’s capital. These emerging leaders experience the power of democracy among the monuments, become inspired by exemplary stories of courage, collaborate to discover solutions to some of the issues they face today, and spend a night in a museum among new friends. St. Patrick Catholic High School, Biloxi Our Lady of Fatima Elementary announces the launch of its new website. The new site delivers improved user experience through a simple clean design with enhanced features, functionality and navigation, enabling parents and interested parties to learn about the Fatima educational experience. “We are excited about this new website and the information it provides to our parents, visitors, and interested parties,” said Cindy Hahn, principal of OLF Elementary. “The site redesign and updated content reflects our desire to show the community the benefits of a Fatima education. The new site allows us to showcase our strong educational program.” The new website may be found at www.olfschool.org Our Lady of Fatima Elementary, Biloxi Nativity BVM Cathedral, Biloxi Father Colten Symmes, from Nativity BVM. Cathedral, led 17 youth and six adults on a pilgrimage to The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, AL, on July 6. The group proceeded onward to attend the Steubenville Atlanta Conference in Duluth, GA, on July 6-8.
