14 Gulf Pine Catholic • April 6, 2018 The blessings among the Hispanic Community of our diocese continue to flow with great joy. This time 54 men experienced the #17 ACTS retreat for the first time and had an opportunity to renew their spiritual life and start their journey of faith at their own parish. The team that organized this retreat was formed by 45 members representing each of the parishes where the Spanish Mass is celebrated. Co-directors for this retreat were Jose Damaso (St. John the Evangelist Parish, Gulfport), Florino Hernandez (Sacred Heart Parish, Hattiesburg), Javier Copete (director) and Elmer Hernandez (St. Alphonsus Parish, Ocean Springs). Spiritual directors were Father Daniel Martinez and Father Sergio Balderas, director of Hispanic Ministry. #17 ACTS Retreat Long Beach parish shows appreciation for seniors at annual banquet St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Long Beach honored its senior citizens on Saturday, April 24, in the community center with a delicious meal and entertainment, including dancing by the children, under the direction of Sister Cecilia Nguyen.
