JUDE O Holy St. Jude, Apostle and Martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need, to you I have recourse from the depth of my heart and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance. Help me in my present and urgent petition. In return I promise to make your name known and cause you to be invoked. St. Jude pray for us and all who invoke your aid. Amen. RFG SVDP student gathers national honors in StockMarket competition St. Vincent de Paul sixth grader Matthew Simpson recently won first place in the state Middle School (sixth -eighth grade) essay contest for InvestWrite ; and placed third in the entire country. According to Selena Swartzfager, with the Mississippi Council on Economic Education, Simmons was part of a team that played the Stock Market game (back in the Fall) and wrote essays on their experience. Simpson’s essay was submitted to the national compe- tition. Not only did he win first place on the state level, he also finished third in the middle school division on the national level. Any school in Mississippi is invited to participate in the competition, which is organized by the Mississippi Council on Economic Education. On March 7, Simpson received a variety of prizes from the Prize Patrol, including a laptop computer, a trophy, a $100 check, gift certificates and awards.
