The Mass emphasizes the unity of the diocesan Priesthood with its Bishop. April 2 Catholics Returning Home at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish LONG BEACH -- St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach has a special program to help non-prac- ticing Catholics return to the Church entitled “Catholics Returning Home.” The next series begins April 2 upstairs in the administration building at 6:30 p.m. for 6 weeks. April 6 St. James Movie Night GULFPORT -- St. James Parish will host a Family Movie Night on April 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Center, 366 Cowan Road. The featured attraction will be “The Letter Writer” in which, after a teenager receives a mysterious letter in the mail, she sets out to find the author. It’s a journey that will change her life forever. There is no admission and feel free to bring a snack if you like. April 8 Divine Mercy Sunday BAY ST. LOUIS -- Celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8, at Our Lady of the Gulf, Bay St. Louis. Multiple priests will be available for Confession from 2-3 p.m. followed by Divine Mercy Chaplet. Fr. Michael O’Connor will then officiate at a solemn blessing of the Image of Divine Mercy and Holy Mass. The ceremony will conclude with ven- eration of the Image. “The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion (on this day) shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.” (Jesus to St. Faustina, Diary 699) April 7 Divine Mercy in Our Lives HATTIESBURG -- Father Adam Urbaniak will present “Divine Mercy in our Lives” on Saturday, April 7, at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 3117 West 4th Street. A native of Poland, Father Urbaniak, who is also Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Biloxi, will present a personal account of St. Faustina’s devotion and its relevance in both the world at large and in our daily lives. All are welcome. This event is sponsored by the Catholic Student Association. April 12-15 Ladies ACTS BILOXI -- The next Ladies ACTS Retreat will begin on Thursday, April 12, at 5 p.m. at Paul B. Johnson State Park and participants will return on Sunday, April 15, for the 10 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Biloxi. April 21 St. Alphonsus KC $3,000 Drawdown OCEAN SPRINGS -- The Knights of Columbus are hosting a Dinner and $3,000 Drawdown event in support of St. Alphonsus’ St. Vincent de Paul Society on Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall. April 21 Shamrockin’ the Coast BILOXI -- St. Patrick Catholic High School will host its 11th annual Shamrockin’ Party and Auction to be held at the Golden Nugget Casino on Saturday, April 21. More information on tickets will be coming soon. This is a casual evening of delicious food, good music, enticing auction items, and fun fellowship among friends. Proceeds from the event will help expand technology at St. Patrick. April 26 Annulment Workshop VANCLEAVE -- Msgr. John McGrath will make a presentation on the annulment process on Thursday, April 26, at 7 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 6705 Jim Ramsay Road. All are invited to this presentation. Msgr. McGrath will give an in-depth analysis of the annulment process and what is expected of those pursuing an annulment. April 27 OLA Crescent Crawfish Boil BAY ST. LOUIS -- Our Lady Academy will hold its 6th Annual Crescent Crawfish Boil Fundraiser on April 27 at Our Lady of the Gulf Community Center at 7 p.m. There will be live entertainment, an OLA tuition raffle (valued at $6,000) or $3,000 cash, theme basket raffle and a silent auction. Those participating or wishing to participate in Mass are requested to arrive by 1:30 p.m. Following each Mass will be a social in the Parish Hall for some refreshments.
