Judy Purviance-Anderson has
many titles – Building Owners and
Managers Association International
Fellow, local BOMA past-president,
licensed broker, certified paralegal,
general manager of a Class A down-
town office high-rise, etc. – but the
33-year property management vet-
eran seems most at ease when con-
sidered part of the 1670 Broadway
team.
During the interview for the day-
in-the-life profile piece, Purviance-
Anderson immediately and repeat-
edly stressed that the piece should
be about the
day in the life
of the man-
agement team,
not just her
day.
“I think
that’s the
critical com-
ponent,” she
said. “You can-
not do this on
your own. It
is impossible. And why would you
want to? To me, there’s no pride
of authorship. It’s fun to have the
camaraderie of this cohesive group.”
The meeting-intensive day kicked
off with an informal meeting of her
Cushman & Wakefield team – David
Tallent, chief engineer; Krystal
Sears, assistant property manager;
KimWoods, property assistant; Jer-
emy Andrews, assistant chief engi-
neer; and Patrick Elliott, site super-
visor, who is a contract employee
with Whelan Security. She also
made sure her portfolio manager
and previous general manager, Pat-
rick Finé, stopped by to say hello.
The environment during the
team meeting and later at a team
lunch was one of people at ease,
yet respectful. Purviance-Anderson
deploys humor, often at her own
expense, to cultivate this environ-
ment, which allows her team mem-
bers to laugh at themselves and
each other.
Referencing the desire a child has
to please her parents, Purviance-
Anderson feels the same desire to
please the building owners,1670
Broadway Investors LLC. Her staff
follows her lead, aiming to please
the real estate investment trust as

1670 Broadway has been Judy Purviance-Anderson’s work “home” for most of her 33-year career. From 1983 to today, she has seen the property through changing times and new demands.
