Lucas Rottler, LEED AP BD+C,
was promoted to director of
preconstruction-Western region
at
Brinkmann Constructors.
In his new position, Rottler
will lead the national general
contractor’s Western region
team through the reconstruc-
tion phase on
multiple proj-
ects simulta-
neously. He
started with
Brinkmann
in 2008 as a
project engi-
neer and was
promoted to
project man-
ager in 2012.
Most recently, Rottler oversaw
construction of the $53 million
Wind Crest retirement commu-
nity in Highlands Ranch.
He holds a Bachelor of Sci-
ence degree in civil engineer-
ing from Missouri University
of Science and Technology.
He also earned the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers Contrac-
tor Quality Control Manager
certification.

Ray B. Drzymala
joined
The
Beck Group
as its director of
business
develop-
ment, a new
position for
the Denver
office.
Drzymala
brings more
than 10 years
of experi-
ence in the
architectural,
engineering and construction
industry, working at Lantz-
Boggio and MOAArchitecture,
to the full-service construction
firm.
At The Beck Group, he will
work to grow the company in
the Rocky Mountain region
and expand the group’s efforts
in new industry sectors and
areas of operations.

Studio NYL Structural
Engineering|The Skins Group,
a structural engineering and
façade design firm, recently
expanded its staff and leader-
ship team.
Ted Godfrey, PE, SECB,
who joined the firm in 2006
as senior engineer, has been
promoted to principal and
structural technical director. As
the design lead on a number
of the firm's most noteworthy
projects, he joins founding
principals Julian Lineham and
Christopher O'Hara in guiding
the firm through its next phase
of growth.
Susan Jorgensen, PE,
who
recently joined the studio as
quality control manager, is
licensed in seven states and
active in professional struc-
tural organizations on a state
and national level. She brings
extensive management and
team development experience
to the studio and currently is
mentoring teams on projects,
including the Boulder Com-
mons Net Zero offices, Stanley
Marketplace in Aurora and a
large, confidential arts facility
in Arkansas.
Design engineer
Katie Gar-
garo, PE,
also was recently
hired. She specializes in cre-
ative structures and currently
is designing several luxury
residences, a sculptural civic
space for a park revitalization
in Detroit and working with
Jorgensen on the confidential
project in Arkansas. Garago
received both her Bachelor of
Science and Master of Science
in engineering, civil and envi-
ronmental engineering from
the University of Michigan.
Alex Worden,
parametric
lead and a façade architect,
recently was elevated to reg-
istered architect. Worden cur-
rently is working on several
high-profile projects in San
Francisco, Miami, New York
City and Boston.
Travis McLain
and
Ryan
Richer
also have joined the
studio as architectural interns/
REVIT modelers, and
Elizabeth
O'Hara,
who is currently in the
process of redesigning Studio
NYL's website, is the new mar-
keting manager.

Lori Sherwood
will lead
Advantage Engineers’
newly
opened Western office in
Broomfield as regional director.
The Western office for the
firm, a provider of specialized
engineering and consulting
services, will specialize in tele-
communications engineering.
Sherwood has experience in
telecommunications, public
policy, contracts and grant
management as well as high-
level project management, gov-
ernment affairs and strategic
planning.

Jake Sprecher
joined
Jordy
Construction
as a project engi-
neer.
Sprecher
is an accom-
plished proj-
ect manager,
estimator and
project engi-
neer with
more than
eight years
of industry
experience.
In his new role with the full-
service construction manage-
ment firm, Sprecher will be
responsible for estimating, and
developing specifications for
and overseeing the technical
aspects of Jordy Construction
projects.
Prior to joining Jordy Con-
struction, Sprecher worked
as a senior project engineer
for Brinkmann Constructors,
where he managed propos-
als, estimates and conceptual
development for industrial,
commercial, food service and
retail projects ranging from
$2.5 million to $30 million.
Before that, Sprecher spent
time as a project manager and
estimator for Woodruff Con-
struction in Iowa, where he
managed substantial projects in
the municipal and educational
industries.

Ambient Energy
recently
promoted
Clayton Bartczak
and
Christopher Morales.
Bartczak, LEED AP BD+C,
O+M, SFP, joined the third-par-
ty consulting firm specializing
in energy, commissioning and
sustainable design solutions
in 2010 as a sustainability con-
sultant and was promoted to
sustainability
team leader
and project
manager.
Bartzcak is
a graduate
of Colorado
State Univer-
sity with a
master’s in
construction
manage-
ment. Bartzcak’s projects at the
firm include the CSU Pavilion
Student Center in Fort Collins,
the TRANSPO Operations and
Maintenance Facility in South
Bend, Indiana, and the Alliance
Center in Denver, a nonprofit,
community based office build-
ing that houses sustainability
focused organizations and
companies.
After a little over a year with
Ambient Energy, Morales, PE,
CEM, LEED AP O+M, has been
promoted from a commission-
ing engineer to commissioning
project manager.
He is a graduate of the Uni-
versity of Colorado Denver
with a degree in mechanical
engineering.
