Park Meadows welcomes
two stores to Colorado
L.L.Bean, an outdoor apparel
and equipment retailer most
prominent on the East Coast,
has opened its doors to Den-
ver. Not only is this L.L.Bean’s
first store in Colorado, it’s the
farthest west the company has
traveled to open a store.
“Our westernmost store is
going to give folks in the Den-
ver area and beyond, many of
whom are only familiar with us
through our catalog and web-
site, the ability to touch, see
and feel the true essence of our
brand in person, just in time for
the holidays,” said Ken Kacere,
senior vice president and gener-
al manager of retail at L.L.Bean.
The 13,000-square-foot store
featuring active and casual
apparel, footwear and outdoor
gear, including hiking, fly-
fishing, kayaking and camp-
ing products is located on the
northeast side of the shopping
center between the dining hall
and Crate & Barrel.
Park Meadows also wel-
comed Forever Flawless to the
state. Forever Flawless offers a
premium skin care line that is
designed to deliver spa-quality
results in the comfort of one’s
home. The 1,035-sf store is locat-
ed on the upper level between
Pottery Barn and Macy’s.
Park Meadows is located at
8401 Park Meadows Center
Drive.
RMSCA acknowledges
NewMark Merrill with
awards
The Rocky Mountain Shop-
ping Center Association recent-
ly acknowledged NewMark
Merrill Mountain States with
two Star Awards.
One award was given for
New Construction/Redevelop-
ment over 20,000 square feet.
NewMark Merrill redeveloped
the Arvada Marketplace East
shopping center and Conn’s, an
electronic and appliance retailer,
recently occupied a 42,000-sf
space that had been vacant in
the center since 2001.
The other award, for Shop-
ping
Center
Community
Involvement/Community Out-
reach, was presented to New-
Mark Merrill for its efforts in
the 2013 Boulder County flood
relief. Twin Peaks Mall, under
the ownership of NewMark,
partnered with the Federal
Emergency Management Agen-
cy, the Red Cross and city of
Longmont, allowing the mall
to serve as the flood recovery
headquarters for all of Boulder
County.
Twin Peaks Mall was recently
demolished and Village At The
Peaks is now under construc-
tion and scheduled to open in
fall 2015.
Village at the Peaks is located
at 1250 S. Hover Road.
New tenants, development
planned at The Promenade
Two new tenants have opened
stores at The Promenade Shops
at Briargate.
Athleta, which offers wom-
en’s yoga clothing, swimwear,
running and athletic clothing for
fitness, golf and tennis, recent-
ly opened a 3,800-square-foot
store. Pandora, which designs,
manufactures and markets
hand-finished and modern jew-
elry, also opened a 1,600-sf store.
In addition, The Promenade
Shops at Briargate has plans to
add over 11,000 sf of retail and
over 5,000 sf of restaurant space
in an area formerly occupied by
Champps Americana restaurant
and sports bar.
“Redeveloping this restaurant
pad will position The Prome-
nade Shops at Briargate as Col-
orado Springs’ premier shop-
ping and dinning district,” said
Deanna DeLarge, Promenade’s
general manager. The anticipat-
ed completion is next summer.
The Promenade Shops at Bri-
argate are located at 1885 Briar-
gate Parkway.
Breitling opens first
store in Colorado
Swiss watch manufacturer
Breitling opened its first stand-
alone store in Colorado, in
partnership with Hyde Park
Jewelers. The Breitling Store
Denver, located in the Cherry
Creek Shopping Center, is a
492-square-foot space featuring
more than 200 Bretling time-
pieces, including the Breitling
for Bentley collection and the
Breitling Navitimer and Chro-
nomat collections.
Thierry Prissert, Breitling’s
USA president said, “It is the
perfect location for our first
store in this part of the United
States, not only because Cherry
Creek is the place to go for a pre-
mium shopping experience in
Denver, but also because people
who live here have a true sense
of adventure, just as Breitling
does.”
Although this is Breitling’s
first stand-alone store in Den-
ver, it has been available in jew-
elry stores in Vail, Aspen, Breck-
enridge, Denver’s Capitol Hill
area and Centennial.
