March 2022 / BUILDING DIALOGUE / 45 VISI T US AT SWINERTON.COM ELEMENTS Thought Leadership and processes, and new thought leadership that we use to add value for our clients. This research spans from com- munity engagement to artificial intelligence, parametric design and everything in between. n What have we been doing? Since opening our Denver office we have begun and completed some exciting proj- ects that will have an impact on real estate and the public realm across Colorado. Several recent projects include efforts where our multi- disciplinary team of architects, landscape architects and planners have led innovative master plans for campus, commercial and municipal clients. The Foothills Mall Re- development in Fort Collins, work completed for McWhin- ney, reimagines a defunctmall as a new, thriving urbandis- trict of roughly 1.8 million square feet positioned around retail and a lively public realm. The University of Colorado Boulder campus master plan establishes a 30-year vision for the campus that includes growth of academic and partnership spaces while respecting the historic campus structure and character. The DEN Non-Aviation Real Estate Strategic Plan lays out a series of mixed-use campuses nes- tled into the unique prairie landscape of Denver Interna- tional Airport that allows for new manufacturing, office, and retail and hospitality uses to come to life. All of these master planning efforts bring together urban design with strategic thinking that adds value to our clients and the surrounding communities. In addition to our planning efforts, we also have been working on a series of ambitious public realm design proj- ects in areas that need creative design thinking. Dumke Arts Plaza in Ogden, Utah, is designed to provide a flexible, yet dynamic civic heart within the city centered around a rotational art strategy. The public realm master planning efforts in the River North Art District in Denver create safe and comfortable streetscapes and gathering spac- es that support the bespoke character of the area while outlining strategic implementation procedures. Lastly, our design for the Denargo Market development public realm in downtown Denver, completed for Golub and For- mativ, lays out a series of performative and expressive public spaces that will create a dynamic new riverfront district within the city. In all of these efforts, our multi- disciplinary team of landscape architects, architects, and civil engineers have worked together to blend form and function into iconic new places. And that’s just the beginning.\\ jbrooks@sasaki.com
