It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since we launched Building Dialogue in December 2014. It was a leap of faith that so many of you took with us, from sharing your stories and expertise to advertising with the new kid on the block. And I hope all will agree it’s been a success – from our inaugural issue featuring the construction of the Westin Hotel at DIA and the Gaylord property four years later to this issue’s cover of downtown Denver’s dual-brand Hilton. While beautiful hotels have graced our cover, so have office towers like 1144 Fifteenth and multifamily projects like The Quincy downtown and The Henry in Platt Park. I am so grateful to our commercial development, design and build community for providing the beautiful color and texture for our blank canvas each quarter. And the community on a more granular level is cel- ebrated in this issue, making lobbies, the workplace, schools, gathering places and our communities in general more inviting. Features in this issue include the latest hotel addition to the downtown Denver core: Tru and Home2, a du- al-brand product from Hilton; the Parc Mosaic multifam- ily living project unique to life in Boulder; Platte Street Plaza and Union Hall as community gathering spots; and a look back to our past with a view to our future: City Park Golf Clubhouse, 17 Mile House Barn and Lowry. The design firm Page is featured as well, with its work throughout the state on display. Thought pieces continue to invite conversation, a dia- logue if you will: Colorado’s evolving energy code on the path to net zero, buildings as a collection of stories that we tell future generations, and bringing transparency to the design and construction process. It continues to be a privilege to share your stories and your wisdom. Happy anniversary to us all, and here’s to many more years together. And thank you to everyone who makes this dream a reality each quarter. Kris Oppermann Stern Publisher & Editor kostern@crej.com
