In this unique workshop you will learn the history and practice of using the ancient mala beads necklace in meditation, prayer, or intention-setting. You will create your own 108-bead natural stone necklace, taking the time as you work to imbue it with your own personal meaning. All supplies and guidance for creating your gemstone necklace will be provided. You will walk away with an artful piece of intentional jewelry that embodies and expresses your values and desires. Engage your creativity and make something practical at the same time. Learn this simple and versatile DIY card-making technique. You will use hand-carved wood block stamps from India and colored inks to make 8–12 one-of-a-kind notecards that will be ready to send or give away. Ink message stamps will be available so that you can add messages, such as “With Love”, “Thank You” or “Happy Birthday,” if you choose. Each of your cards will be unique. Leave with new skills so you can continue creating new designs at home. No artistic experience is needed. Dawn Koschak loves abstract art and lots of color, and these cards have both elements. In this workshop you will use the glycerin melt and pour technique. Roll up your sleeves and have fun creating di¬erent types of natural soap to take home with you or give as sweet, personalized gifts. You will learn techniques for making natural herbal soap, artistic embedded soap, and novelty layered soap. Be creative and customize with colors, fragrances, and textures.
